1. What is a remotely proctored exam?
The candidate can attempt the online examination, at his convenient location. The exam surveillance will be conducted with the help of a web camera and the method is called Remote Proctoring.
2. How are the exams conducted for the programme?
- All examinations shall be conducted online.
- Examination schedule will be notified on the LMS towards the end of each semester.
- The students will have to register for the examinations and obtain an e-admit card.
- Examinations are conducted as per the UGC / University regulations on online mode.
- Semester end examinations and internal assessments shall be objective / MCQ based.
- Students shall have a provision for additional attempts in case of failure, absence or for grade improvements as per existing university regulations.
3. What are the hardware requirements that a student should possess in order to appear for the examination?
Students will be able to attempt the examinations from any physical location. The minimum hardware requirements they should possess are;
- Laptop/PC with Internet connectivity
- Operating System: Windows 7, 8, 10
- RAM: Minimum 4GB of RAM Processor: Intel Core i3 or above
- HDD: Minimum 100 MB of free space
- Internet connectivity: 5 Mbps un-interrupted internet speed is desirable
- Browser: Assure zoom level of browser is at 100%
- Windows 10 - Google Chrome - All versions
- Windows 8 – Google Chrome – All versions
- Windows 7 - Google Chrome - All versions
- An operational Webcam, Microphone, Speaker.
4. What to do if your Online examination is interrupted?
- Call the support number provided
- Explain the nature of the issue
- Await instruction from the proctor
5. When do I get a chance to reappear for the examination?
You can attend your odd semester exams in the successive odd semesters and similarly even semester examinations can be attempted in the successive even semester, within the maximum programme duration.
