Yes. As per the UGC (ODL & OL) Public Notice F.No.3-5/2022(DEB-III) dated 2nd September 2022, online degrees shall be treated as equivalent to conventional degrees offered by the University.

UG programmes shall have a 4 year/8 semester duration and PG programmes shall have a 2 year/4 semester duration.
Double the programme duration. ie, 8 years for UG programmes and 4 years for PG programmes.
The programmes shall follow the 4 - Quadrant approach as per the UGC Regulations. The components of each of the courses shall include
- Online Recorded classes published on the LMS
- Live interactive classes via a specified Video Conferencing application
- Study materials provided via LMS; printed materials shall be made available at an extra fee, including postage
- Internal assessments and assignments (continuous assessment) to be completed on the LMS
- External assessments (semester end examinations) with online proctoring on the LMS
The programmes shall also include components like projects, internships and dissertations as per the specific programme syllabus and they shall also be undertaken and completed by the students as per the specific demands and requirements of the programmes and the topic assigned to the student.
Learning Management System is a software application via which students are provided with all sorts of educational support, viz, recorded videos, study materials, weekly assessments, etc.
A course refers to the title of a paper. Eg., “Marketing Management” is a course in the first semester of the M.Com. programme.
Students are expected to spare an effort of approximately 15-20 hours per week during the tenure of the programme.
Students can post their academic queries and doubts in public forums or as private messages on the LMS and they shall be addressed by the course coordinators. They may also interact with course coordinators during the live classes.
The assessments and grading criteria for the programmes shall be in accordance with the syllabus for the respective programmes. There shall be two components for the examination of each course. a.) External Examination b.) Internal Examination.
To be eligible to appear for the final exams, students are required to go through at least 75% of the content on the LMS.
